How To Simplify Your Life And Travel The World

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 27 Second

Are you tired of the constant stress of your life? Are non-stop phone calls, faxes, email messages, and meetings driving you crazy?

You’re not alone. Studies show most people are stressed to the breaking point. They also would love to simplify their lives and travel the world.

Imagine living on a remote tropical island, enjoying the warm sea breeze, local food, and easy-going atmosphere. You do this while earning a good income, doing the work you want, and all in a far more relaxed way than you work now.

While this might sound like a scene from a movie or the online offer from a get-rich-quick scheme, simplifying life and traveling the world is easy to do — IF your know-how.

Dr. Otto Weizman developed just such a system. Dr. Weizman spent most of his life traveling the world, not as a tourist but running a global business. Over the years, he became tired of living out of a suitcase and meeting continuous deadlines. Life was interesting, even exciting, but the stress and demands of business left him exhausted and frustrated.

Weizman began working out a simple system for anyone who wants to get away from it all and work somewhere else in the world. Based on the vast store of tips and techniques he had learned in his travels, Weizman was able to see opportunity in ways most travelers didn’t even know existed.

  1. Start by simplifying your life. Weizman correctly felt the massive onslaught of advertising messages we get every minute of every day is the source of much of our stress. Get off junk mail lists email lists, and make sure your phone number isn’t on call lists.
  2. Rest assured, you CAN do the kind of work you love anywhere in the world. If you think a person like you could only work in your current country, remember that every industry is now truly global. It’s a fair bet there are workers just like you in dozens of desirable locations worldwide.
  3. Don’t worry about “dropping out” and not staying in touch. Dr. Weizman showed you could remain connected entirely via phone, email, and fax, even from the most remote desert island. The Internet cafe is a fixture in every country of the world. Cell phones are now ubiquitous. If you WANT to be in contact, you will.
  4. Keep in mind money flows differently in other countries. Credit cards work well in most places but take some time to know how residents manage financial transactions. They’ve had the advantage of what method is most dependable, most acceptable, and most economical.

Don’t ever feel like you’re trapped in your current situation. Anyone who takes the time to learn how can freely travel the world, enjoying beautiful destinations, while still earning a good income doing what they love.

Are You Afraid Of Success

0 0
Read Time:4 Minute, 33 Second

It is well documented that many people fail to achieve their goals in life due to the phenomenon known as “fear of failure,” but are you aware that a major factor that is often overlooked is a state known as “fear of success”?

Fear of failure will lead many people into inertia – the inability to make decisions or take action if they receive rejection or negative outcomes. This mental state is fairly easy to identify, and there are many tools in the personal development industry to help combat this plague and reprogram the mind for success. However, the fear of success is much more subtle, harder to spot, and harder to eradicate.

Perhaps you have this tendency in your life. Here are some indications of a fear of success mentality.

Studying and trying to implement self-improvement techniques and/or personal development tools, but your life does not improve or may even get worse.

You settle for less than you feel you deserve or are capable of achieving.

You start new projects full of enthusiasm and optimism but wane in your efforts or stop short before you have completed them.

You expect things to go wrong no matter how well the situation appears to be at the moment.

Can you identify your own patterns in any of the above statements?

The fear of success can also make you behave in ways that hold you back. For example, look at the list below. These are the symptoms of the fear of success.

Procrastination – putting off what needs to be done or not doing what you know will bring you closer to your desired result. Everyone suffers from this inner ‘demon’ at some point in their lives (although some suffer from it more than others!).

Procrastination is a ‘success killer’! How can you expect to reach your destination if you do not take steps towards it? Strive to do little things each day that will bring you small steps closer to your goal. This is why having a personal development plan is an essential ingredient in the fight against procrastination. Take action! Any action! Refine your steps as you go along but do not sit and do nothing. Taking action is one of the key aspects of personal development.

I can’t see the forest for the trees! – this is almost the opposite of procrastination but has the same effect on your personal development. The aforementioned saying is well known but have you ever given it real consideration?

Please don’t get caught up in your plan, believing that it is more important than the materialized goal! For many years I got caught in this trap. I started to think and act as though my plan was more important than my result and thus missed many opportunities to alter my path and reach my goals more quickly! Let go of your ego and allow the Universe to show you a quicker route to your goal. Remain flexible.

Thinking that the time is not right – have you ever waited until the timing was perfect before starting a venture? Have you ever waited until you had more information on a better plan?

Again ACTION is the key to the door to success. Taking small steps forward is better than taking none or waiting to see if your foot is landing on the right spot! Even if your actions take you away from your goal, you have gained insight and knowledge about what does not work!

Being a perfectionist is similar to the point above and has the same effect: you never really move forward. No matter how good a job is, when it’s finished, it can always be improved! I have heard many great musicians tell how they hate listening to their own songs because they can find a million things that need improvement. Yet, we still enjoy them. I think a classic example of this is “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Paul Simon. This song is hauntingly beautiful, yet Mr. Simon does not think it’s good enough!

Seeing only problems – how do you use your focus? Do you constantly see only and all the problems involved? If you are this way inclined, it is pointless trying to change overnight! However, you can use this mindset to your advantage while you strive in your personal development to acquire an opportunistic frame of mind instead.

“How can you use seeing only problems to my advantage?” you say. “Easily” is my reply! Look at the problems and prepare a plan to deal with them. Every time you overcome one, congratulate yourself. Use them as a gauge for your achievements. If you keep seeing more problems, remind yourself of how well you dealt with the others. Look at how far you have come! If you see a problem, ask yourself, “how best can I overcome this challenge?” or “how quickly can I rectify this situation?”. The quality of your questions is important, as I have outlined in a previous article. Use the problems as fact finders. Is there a real problem now? If so, then deal with it. Is it a potential problem? If so, then create a contingency plan if it does occur but don’t get caught up in it. Just be prepared.

Enjoy the journey, follow the above guidelines, and you will achieve success. Eventually, your fear of success will dissipate, and you will have moved a long way forward in your personal development.

Network Marketing Monday – 7 Tips To Thriving While Working From Home

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 31 Second

So, you’ve decided to start a home-based business. Congratulations! and welcome to the fast-paced world of entrepreneurship. While there is a lot to learn, your effort will be worth it. The thrill of growing your business, the freedom and flexibility to set your own hours, and the possibilities of ever-increasing financial rewards are all wonderful reasons to start your home-based business.

Now that you’ve decided to start your business, you might be wondering “How can I get it off to the strongest possible start?” These seven tips will help:

  1. Set up a separate working space in your home. It doesn’t matter if this is a small bedroom, one part of the garage, or a corner of the living room. The important thing is to have some space that you can designate as your working area. This will give you the space and room you need to craft your dream.
  2. Stock your working space with materials. This sounds basic, perhaps, but one underlying element of success is that you have easy access to the tools, materials, and other resources you need. Gathering everything close by also keeps you from wasting time searching for it, so this step can be considered a time management strategy, too.
  3. Speaking of time management, your third step is to define the parameters of your business. What days and hours will you work? When will you market? When will you provide services or products to clients? How will you keep all of this straight?
  4. Balance action with planning. One of the most common pitfalls to successful entrepreneurship is getting too caught up in action without enough planning. Stated another way, this means that you confuse “being busy” with “working on important projects.” The best approach is to plan your next couple of goals and then work backwards to create step by step action plans to reach them. Once you have the plan, then it’s time to take action.
  5. Network like crazy. One of the fastest ways to grow any business is to make connections with other people. Be sure to share your passion and enthusiasm with others at every opportunity. Let people know who you are and what you offer. Remember, people can’t buy if they don’t know you’re selling.
  6. Present a professional image. If you want to be treated professionally, present a professional image. Set up a separate bank account for your business. Install a separate phone and fax line. Create professional marketing materials. Be courteous and pleasant in all your customer-facing interactions. Basically, be someone people want to do business with.
  7. Automate your business as much as possible. Granted, you are just one person (right now) and might have a lot of extra time to take care of all the details. This might work for now but won’t work into the future as you get busier and busier. It’s best to set up automatic systems and processes right from the start to free up your time to concentrate on the most profitable activities.

Marketing Success – How to Get Over That First Hill and Start Making Real Money!

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 1 Second

If you’re like many newbie marketers, you have heaps of great marketing ideas all the time. The problem is they seem to fade into nothing without you ever doing a thing about them, Am I right? Then, after a week, you have forgotten all about that great new idea, or you have that lingering annoying thought in your mind that you have let another great idea turn into nothing.

I mean, who knows if they’re great ideas to start with, but the problem is you will never know. So here are a few tips that will help you get over that hill and finally start putting your ideas into action.

– Procrastination: This is the number one problem – Putting things off. You NEED a plan and some time management system in place. Prioritize your tasks and keep lists of everything that needs doing. Don’t get too technical with this. You don’t need the latest software to manage yourself. You are trying using post-its or a simple exercise book. And no matter how much you don’t feel like doing something, get it out of the way and NEVER leave it until the next day!

– Doing It Alone: You can do it alone, but it is more challenging, and without support, you are more likely to fail. However, it doesn’t have to be much. Online forums, for example, are a fantastic source of ideas and encouragement. And with other people, like starting your affiliate program, you can leverage your efforts and do FAR MORE than you could ever do on your own.

– Be Ambitious: You won’t know unless you try. Assume you can do *anything* – because you can! You may not be ready to do it yet but don’t set up mental blocks in advance. You can create your profitable items, sell them well, and have others selling them for you. You can operate a range of websites, even host seminars, or teach others. YOU CAN.

– Wasting Money: This one is important, especially if you don’t have money to burn! Don’t get caught up jumping from opportunity to opportunity or buying everything that comes into your inbox. You’ll be surprised how much you can get for free. Trust me – you don’t need half the stuff you see online. Try to control your emotions and think before you buy. Write a list of pros and cons, and ensure that the product or service is essential to YOU.

Skincare Mistakes You Might Be Making

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 48 Second

Warning: There are some major mistakes you’re making when it comes to skincare, and you probably don’t even realize it.

We’ve definitely landed in full-blown skincare obsession over the last couple of years and if you’re anything like me, your drawers are filled with serums, toners, cleansers, and balms! But even after spending the equivalent of a private island on skincare, you’re probably guilty of making 7 pretty major mistakes that might be the difference between “meh” skin and glowing skin!

Curious what those mistakes are? Let’s go!

  1. Overusing skin care products. Sometimes you can overuse products and overload on active ingredients. When it comes to active ingredients, try to stick to this rule – the stronger the ingredient, the less you should use it! For example, super-potent exfoliators should only be used once a week.

  1. Neglecting your neck Most of us layer the skincare on our face without much thought for our neck. But our neck is subject to fine lines and wrinkles even more than our faces! When you apply your skincare, make sure you bring it all the way down to your decolletage.

  1. Layering incorrectly. As a general rule of thumb, apply your lightest weight products first, giving time to dry in between. For example, when it comes to morning skincare, you want to start by cleansing, then apply a toner, then serum, then eye cream, then face cream, and finally sunscreen.

  1. Neglecting your upper lip.  Very rarely do we focus our attention on the upper lip, but it’s incredibly important since the lips age faster than the rest of the face!

  1. Pulling and tugging on your skin when you apply. Be super gentle when applying skincare and apply in an upward motion so you don’t drag the skin down and cause sagging.

  1. You’re not drinking enough water. Seems obvious, but what’s on the inside is reflected on the outside. Your skin can’t look its best if you’re not hydrated.

You’re not wearing sunscreen daily. Wearing an SPF is a non-negotiable if you want healthy skin.

Does Journaling Really Work?

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 14 Second

There’s no doubt that journaling can be a helpful tool for self-development. When you write down your thoughts and feelings, you gain valuable insights into yourself and your life. Also, journaling helps you release pent-up emotions and reduce stress.

But does journaling work?

  1. Journaling can help you to gain insights into yourself.

Many people find that journaling is a helpful way to get to know themselves better. Recording your thoughts and feelings allows you to see patterns and trends in your behavior. This is extremely valuable in terms of personal growth and development.

  1. Journaling can help you to release pent-up emotions.

If you’re bottling up your emotions, it can be helpful to let them out through journaling. Writing down your thoughts and feelings about them will help you process them healthily and prevent them from causing problems in your life.

  1. Journaling can help you to reduce stress levels.

Research has shown that journaling can be an effective way to reduce stress. For example, in one study, participants who wrote about their stressors for 20 minutes per day for three days showed significant reductions in stress levels.

  1. Journaling can help you to achieve your goals.

If you’re working towards a goal, journaling can help you to stay on track. By writing about your progress and challenges, you can better understand what’s working and what isn’t. Additionally, research has shown that people who write about their goals are more likely to achieve them.

Get Organized in 2024!

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 18 Second

I always try to start the year off on the right foot, and getting organized is a great way to do that! Even if you’re already a pretty organized person, there are a few things you can do to take that to the next level.

  1. Open your mail every day. We’re all guilty of letting mail pile up on the kitchen counter. Make it a habit to immediately open the mail and toss any junk mail right away. Anything that needs following up on goes to a designated spot on your desk.
  2. Have a spot for bits and baubles. Corral tiny items like keys or loose change into small dishes or trays.
  3. Transfer your pantry staples into clear containers. Not only does it look pretty in your pantry, it makes it a lot easier to find what you’re looking for and frees up space.
  4. Use a uniform set of hangers. Treat yourself to new hangers this year. It makes clothes easier to move around and access when your hangers are all the same and it looks so mun better!
  5. Check expirations dates and purge. The easiest way to declutter your life is to check expirations on your food, medicines, and even makeup items. You’ll be surprised at how much space expired things are taking up in your house.

Hide toys with baskets
Instead of letting toys take over your house, keep pretty baskets in the most lived-in spaces of your house, and at the end of the day, toss any toys strewn about in a basket.

Resolutions… Don’t Set Yourself Up for Failure

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 26 Second

It’s a New Year – and that means it is time to make a fresh start. If you’re like most people, you have thought of some things you would like to change. This month’s Blog is here to help you stick to your resolutions! We have a great article on how to set resolutions you can actually keep!

Setting New Year’s Resolutions is an age-old tradition. As the year comes to a close, people all across the world make a list of what they would like to change about themselves.

Even the most motivated people on January 1 can become so un-motivated by the end of the month that they have all but given up on their resolutions. Why does this happen? Sometimes, when it comes to resolutions, we are our own worst enemy. That’s right… There are things we do that cause us to fail!

That means that there are also things that we can do to help achieve success. When you set your resolution, make sure it is reasonable. If your goal is to lose weight, keep your expectations reasonable. You may want to lose 25 pounds – but that can’t be done in a short time frame. It can easily take four to six months to lose that much weight.

Know that there are going to be days when you feel like giving up. It is normal to feel that way. Keep yourself motivated by hanging up a visual reminder of your resolution where you will see it often. Each time you glance at it, you will be reminded of why you are working hard – it will give you the strength you need to keep moving forward.
